You are looking at an ORIGINAL 1972 Ford 351HO (High Output) engine that is a very complete 47K Mile take out piece. This engine is a very RARE piece and is complete as shown. This engine was removed as a complete unit from a low mile '72 R-code Mach 1 that was pretty much unmolested.

This  351HO engine was a complete running motor that had low original miles on it when removed. The engine carries the VIN stamp of the R-code Mach 1 it came out of and I physically inspected the car as well to confirm it was indeed an R-code car. I also have the Marti Sheet Documenting the Mach 1 as being one of 336 built with the 351HO engine in 1972.

Make no mistake this 351HO Engine is the real deal and not some sort of hopped up non-original regular 351C engine. The 351HO engine is a very RARE and UNIQUE engine. Likes its brother the Boss 351 with which it shares many of it's High Performance parts with; it is a TRUE High Performance Engine complete with a 4-Bolt Main Block, Nodular Iron Crankshaft, High Performance Connecting Rods, Solid Lift Camshaft, Large Port heads with Factory Screw In Studs and Guideplates, Dual Point Distributor, Aluminum Intake & Rocker Covers, and special high flow exhaust manifolds with larger outlets.

The engine is complete as shown and as removed. The Block itself has a D2AE-CA Engineering number and a 2A28 Casting Date along with the VIN stamp of the R-code Mach 1 it came out of. The Heads are dated 1G19 and 1G20 and are factory machined for their original Screw In Studs and guide plates. Somewhere along the line a set of Poly Locks were added. The Intake Manifold is a D1ZX-CA Aluminum 4V that is a shared piece with the Boss 351. The Carburetor is the RARE ORIGINAL D2ZF-GA unit and is a nice piece! The Distributor is the ORIGINAL D2ZF Dual Point with its correct advance. The Valve Covers are the ORIGINAL Aluminum Boss 302/Boss351 style covers and are complete and undamaged. The Dipstick is the ORIGINAL D1ZX that is also a Shared Piece with the Boss 351. The Exhaust manifolds are ORIGINAL and have the 2-1/2" outlet size with the ORIGINAL Heatshield still intact. The engine has it's ORIGINAL D2ZX Balancer with the notch for the Magnetic Timing pick up and it's unique D2ZX-AB Timing Pointer. The Flywheel is the ORIGINAL D1ZX-AA Boss 351/351HO unit.

The Engine also comes with it's ORIGINAL 351HO Air Cleaner Assembly with Chrome Lid and original 351HO decal. The Side Vacuum motor still works and the Snorkel it intact with the correct ORIGINAL D2ZF plastic ducting on the snout.

I also have the complete VIN Matching Wide Ratio Toploader 4-speed set up as pictured from behind this engine complete with its original bellhousing, spacer plate, Hurst Shifter with Original Knob that while not a part of this auction I will make it available at extra cost to the winning bidder.

If you have been looking for a CORRECT, COMPLETE, ORIGINAL 351HO Engine Assembly for your engineless 1972 R-code car or if you just want a suitable spare to run while you leave your numbers matching engine safely wrapped up in the corner of the shop; then look no further. This type of Engine Assembly does not come along every day; so when you see one such as this come available you need to be ready to go all in and make it yours!!

I will ship this engine on a pallet anywhere in the continental US for a flat $250.00

I can also deliver this engine to the Carlisle All Ford Show for delivery June 3rd and 4th if paid for in full.

Please look at the pictures and ask any questions BEFORE you bid!! I want you to be sure of what you are bidding on and for us both to be satisfied with the item and its sale. I expect payment within 7 days of auction end. I have described this 1972 351HO Engine assembly accurately so please read the auction text and look at the pictures carefully and make sure this is what you want before bidding. If you are not sure please do not bid. I take my auctions seriously and so should you. Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!

Gibbs Sports Amphibians launches the Quadski

Tue, 16 Oct 2012

Gibbs Sports Amphibians has unveiled the Quadski, an amphibious all-terrain vehicle that, according to company founder Alan Gibbs, obliterates the distinction between land and water transportation. The 1,300-pound, 10.5-foot-long Quadski looks a bit like a jet-powered personal watercraft sitting on top of a single-seat ATV, but it's what's underneath the vehicle's molded composite body that separates the high-speed Quadski from larger, slower amphibious predecessors. The Quadski draws power from a BMW K 1300 Motorrad motorcycle engine capable of producing 175 hp.

Nissan plans to build the Infiniti JX in Tennessee

Wed, 20 Apr 2011

Nissan Motor Co.'s assembly plant in Smyrna, Tenn., will build the new seven-passenger Infiniti JX crossover next year, the chairman of Nissan Americas said Wednesday. The move is part of Carlos Tavares' mission of getting Nissan and Infiniti products out of yen and into dollars, but that will require the automaker to move some products around. Tavares also wants to buy more parts from North American suppliers.

Mugen Honda CR-Z Hybrid Video ahead of Goodwood

Mon, 13 Jun 2011

Mugen Honda CR-Z Hybrid playing on video We reported back in April that Honda had turned to Mugen to see if they could inject anything in to the CR-Z Hybrid that might make it even remotely appealing to a driver. The plan was to take the resulting Mugen Honda CR-Z to this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, to see if the knowledgeable petrolheads that gravitate to the Goodwood Estate like moths to a Summer flame could find something to love in the Honda CR-Z, once it had had some Mugen fairy dust springled on it. We were a bit reluctant to expect anything much of the CR-Z even after Mugen had played, but we were pleasantly surprised to learn that the CR-Z would get a wider track, new suspension and brakes and a drop in weight thanks to some carbon fibre in the mix – most notably the carbon fibre bonnet.
