A: Currently this kit will only work on the 1997 to 2006 Wrangler TJ, but I am developing a DIY kit for the YJ!

 

Q: Will the Flip Top Kit work on an aftermarket soft top?

A: This kit is designed to work with the original 1997 to 2006 Wrangler TJ factory steel framework and bows. Although I have had several creative customers utilize the flexibility of the flip top design to install this on aftermarket framework!

 

Q: How do I know if I have the original 1997 to 2006 Wrangler TJ factory steel framework and bows?

A: If you are not sure of the soft top framework that you have, just contact me and I will send you an easy to read diagram for identification.

 

Q: Will the Flip Top Kit void the warranty on my 1997 to 2006 Wrangler TJ?

A: The Manufacturer’s warranties on Jeeps built before 2007 are already expired. If you have any extended warranties that may be in effect, it is advised that you contact that warranty company directly. This is usually a non-issue.

 

Q: How does this affect the ride of my Jeep....is it noisy with the sunroof open?

A: Jeep owners are used to riding with the top down.....so we know and love that ride! With your soft top sunroof  flipped back, front windows open and the rear window panel rolled up....the wind flows right though your Jeep, there is no drag or loss of MPG.... and it is an awesome riding experience. A: No special tools required. You will need a drill with standard size bits, tube cutter or hacksaw, adjustable wrench, small Allen key-set and measuring tape.

A: Anyone with “DIY” type skills can perform this installation. Some buyers have even had “handy” family members or friends perform the installation for them. The installation manual is loaded with pictures & step by step diagrams, and the unique engineering allows flexibility in the design….so it is almost impossible to make a mistake!
