Here we have an all BRAND NEW HP style, QFT 750 squarebore, 4 barrel, double pumper (mechanical secondary) carburetor professionally set up for Pro-street and strip use. This is one of my custom builds consisting of a new Quick Fuel Technology aluminum, contoured, HP style main body for maximum flow and enhanced booster signal. It will flow 830+ cfm and is dyno-proven to 575+ horsepower. This is NOT the cheap Chinese knock-off junk sold under the brand name "Pro Comp". These parts are machined in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Please call the number below with any questions or concerns regarding your application. I can set this carburetor up to work best with your combo.

It has been assembled with high-flow .110" needle & seat assemblies, 30cc pumps, #31 squirters with pink #330 racing pump cams, blue non-stick bowl and block gaskets, nylon bowl screw gaskets, and vent baffles. The jetting is 74 up front with a 4.5" Hg high-flow power valve, and 82 in the rear with the power valve circuit blocked. The mounting gaskets are included as shown.

   Here's a list of features;

New QFT polished lightweight aluminum main body with screw-in air bleeds. .070" idle and .033" high speed bleeds installed.

New red anodized racing billet aluminum metering blocks that are custom calibrated for maximum performance.

New red anodized billet aluminum baseplate that is much stronger than the stock cast piece.

New teflon coated throttle shafts that are slabbed for maximum flow, stainless steel throttle blades, and loctited button-head screws for increased flow due to decreased turbulance.

New lightweight aluminum, dual inlet, racing style fuel bowls with dual sight windows that will not yellow. No more fumbling with sight plugs!

Red anodized inlet fittings and plugs to match the base and metering blocks. Uses a standard Holley model 4150, inverted flare fuel line with 5/8"-18 flare nut.

Jet extensions and notched float in the rear to prevent fuel starvation during a hard launch.

Rear idle speed adjustment screw for fine tuning the 4 corner idle.

This carburetor weighs less than 7-1/2 lbs., while a typical cast zinc carb weighs in at 11 to 13 lbs.

Please email or call me at my shop with any questions, as I will be glad to help you with your setup. I can be reached at 724-523-2947 from 9 am 'til 7 pm, eastern standard time for tech or service help.

I welcome all potential bidders to check my feedback. My feedback from carburetor and parts sales is 100%, and I've sold hundreds in the past few years. I am the owner/operator of a one-man shop and my carbs are built with pride one at a time. Please see my other auctions for more great deals.

      Thanks, Steve

One Lap of the Web: Rally to Goodwood, Utah raises speed limits and Jeeps in Iceland

Thu, 19 Sep 2013

-- Today's vehicles are more than capable of safely exceeding the speed limit. This isn't any secret to us, but apparently lawmakers are just starting to clue in; Utah has joined a slowly increasing number of states in raising some speed limits to 80 mph. Their justification?

Mercedes AMG GT gets new 503 bhp Twin-Turbo 4.0 litre V8 (video)

Fri, 13 Jun 2014

The new Mercedes AMG GT (pictured) gets the new 503 bhp Twin-Turbo 4.0 litre V8 We’ve speculated that the new Mercedes AMG GT – and, for that matter, futures ’63′ AMGs – will get a new twin-turbo V8 to provide the power as Mercedes look to move away from the naturally aspirated 6.2 litre V8 in cars like the SLS. And this is it. A new 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 – the M178 engine – has been developed to replace the 6.2 litre V8 and, in initial tune, develops 503 bhp at 6250 rpm and 479lb/ft of torque from just 1750 rpm.
