Local Motors Texas Competition Results
Fri, 19 Feb 2010Local Motors has announced the winners of the Texas Motor competition, the independent car company's 19th competition. Tasked with designing a vehicle that was a ready-made solution for sportsmen in the great state of Texas, entrants were asked to submit their creations via the Local Motors website. The winning design, selected by members of the Local Motors community, was created by Acatrinei Lucian Nicolae.
Speed cameras to be switched back on
Thu, 12 Dec 2013The mayor of Bristol has announced that speed cameras across the city will be switched back on after they were turned off two years ago. Mayor George Ferguson said that work will start in 2014 to re-commission the 26 speed and traffic light cameras that lost funding from central government in 2011. Developed by Daihatsu's Indonesian subsidiary, ADM, the A-Concept is said to be the end product of a thorough study into the wants and needs of the Indonesian market. Named after the first letter in the alphabet, the concept is said to symbolize the start of a new life for Indonesian society.
