International Scout Ii Complete Door Lock, Plunger Rod, Cylinder & Clip! on 2040-parts.com
Tallahassee, Florida, United States
I'm selling an assortment of parts that I've collected from the days
when I still had a Scout II. Unfortunately the Scout is gone, time to send these parts to a better home. This auction is for a lock kit. All these parts together would cost around $400 on other sites. I found the retainer clip alone for $35, cylinder is $60, latch is $230, plunger and rod about $30... Good news is you can get it here much cheaper. I'd be happy to combine shipping with other auctions, although that may affect the estimated cost calculated by ebay. If you have any questions, please ask. I will do my best to answer them. Good luck, thanks for looking, and check my other auctions for more Scout II parts. |

MINI Speedster back on the cards
Tue, 07 Apr 2009Mini Speedster from 2001 - looks set to form the basis of a new MINI Speedster Based on the MINI platform, the Speedster version was talked about as long ago as 2001, but never made it to production on the first MINI platform. But perhaps having now covered just about every variant they can think of, BMW has decided that now is the time to revive the car and get it in to production. Small Roadsters, in the vein of the old British open-topped 2 seater ( and its modern ‘Homage’ version – the MX-5) will, I’m sure, see something of a renaissance in the next few years as people start to turn away from big, profligate cars, but still seek some fun motoring.
Fifth Gear on TV – the Return
Tue, 23 Mar 2010Fifth Gear Returns to TV in April with a new format Fifth Gear was everyone’s second favourite car show on TV. And that second favourite label seemed to be its undoing when FIVE decided last year to ditch the show after it failed to make any impact on the ratings against everyone’s favourite car show on TV – Top Gear. But FIVE (channel five if we ditch the trendy CAPITALS) have had a change of heart, done a syndication deal or two for Fifth Gear and are putting together a new series (they’ve actually commissioned two of them) which should hit TV screens at the end of next month.
Aston Martin won’t be proclaiming ‘Powered by AMG’ on its Mercedes-engined cars
Mon, 03 Feb 2014Aston Martin won’t be using ‘Powered by AMG’ badges It was a long time coming, but Aston Martin finally found a way to replace their ageing engines by doing a deal with Mercedes AMG to use their very impressive powerplants. And it seems that, depite AMG’s willingness to provide Aston Martin with modern engines, AML aren’t going to be required to put AMG badges on the bodywork or engines of their very beautiful cars. Speaking to Autocar, Mercedes boss Dieter Zetsche said that Mercedes were very happy to have done a deal with AML and equally as happy to be subtle about the arrangement.
