Lucas part number   #34361

This is a new original / old stock switch, in  the original 1965 box.

As far as i know, this is the part number for 3.8 E type cars, But I once tried plugging the
connectors into my '66 4.2 car  and it works just fine.- The difference seems to
be that two of the wires are cloth-covered on these original witches, and that this number
includes the new die-cast housing. which hasn't been available since the 1960's

The old part listings I've shown list this part number with the housing, as well as the other part numbers without...

Note that all the modern replacement switches   ( ex. - XK's unlimited, etc @ $270+)  don't include that shiny black die-cast housing ;-)

Jeep brings duo of remixed Cherokee concepts to Beijing

Mon, 21 Apr 2014

China has become and important market for a number of American automakers, and even though Jeep's partnership with local automotive companies goes back decades, it has always faced stiff competition from other brands in the SUV segment. Hoping that the debut of the new Cherokee will revitalize interest in the brand, Jeep has brought a number of concepts to the China auto show in Beijing this week. First up is the Jeep Cherokee Sageland concept, whose design theme and colors were inspired by historical landmarks and scenery of the Shangri-La region, with the SUV's exterior painted in ivory tri-coat pearl with bronze grille collars.

As Winter Approaches 4x4 Values Are On The Rise

Thu, 07 Nov 2013

YOU know winter is here when the forecast is for rising 4x4 prices in the used market. Just like in summer when you can guarantee convertible premiums will rise faster than an electric roof, the prospect of rain, wind and snow is said to be driving up the values of sought after SUVs. According to data from British Car Auctions (BCA) the trend is already well advanced, with values in October showing a 7.3 per cent increase over September.

Hamana, hamana, hamana… SOLD!

Sat, 17 Jan 2009

The first thing that hits you driving over the hundreds of miles of desert on the way to see the monster Scottsdale classic and collector car auctions every January is the HUGE number of motor homes scattered willy nilly all across the sand and rocks like dice. Every winter Arizona sprouts fields of Winnebegos and Hitchhiker IIs like big, rectangular wildflowers, only less pretty (Not counting the requisite lion and dolphin murals airbrushed on the backs, what are those about, anyway?). Can snowy winters in Saskatchewan really be that bad?
