Concept Car of the Week: Saab Aero X
Fri, 19 Oct 2012In January 2005 Bryan Nesbitt, then-executive director of GM Europe Design, charged the 15-strong Saab Advanced design team in Gothenburg, Sweden, to create the "ultimate vision of the brand". The design team – led by head of Advanced Design at Saab, Anthony Lo – worked on a number of sports car proposals, which were considered 'the jet fighters of the road.' The chosen proposal by Alex Daniel was for a large, front-engined sports car that would become one of the most universally acclaimed concept cars of recent times. Chevy was celebrating, in no particular order: the 60th anniversary of its iconic sports car; the rolling unveiling of the new C7 Stingray; the first-ever public peek at the C7R race car; an almost-unprecedented gathering of great Corvette race cars from all eras; and a ginormous gathering of the Corvette faithful tearing around the track in all models of screaming, roaring American muscleVettes, few with silenced exhausts and many emblazoned with all or part of the American flag. Is this a great country or what?
2015 Audi TT & TTS Coupe OFFICIAL: Geneva Motor Show

But despite familiar looks and profile, there is a lot going on in the new TT. The design is crisper and the front end is bolder with a more prominent grill, the new headlights get new LED graphics, the bonnet is more contoured and the Audi four rings move on to the bonnet – just like the R8.
