The profile is more swoopy too with a short glasshouse, smaller frameless rear doors and comes in 14mm longer and wider – and 40mm lower – than the 3-Series, and gets the same chassis as the 4-Series Coupe with a wheelbase of 2810mm.

The Ford Focus BEV Proitotype has been revealed at Frankfurt Ford are intent on bringing an electric car to the market as soon as possible, and intend starting trials of the Focus BEV in the New Year. The Focus BEV is driven by a 100KW electric motor which is powered by a 23kwh lithium-ion battery pack developed by Vauxhall’s new owner, Magna.

Audi designs car for 'Ender's Game' sci-fi movie

Audi has designed a futuristic car for the upcoming sci-fi action blockbuster Ender's Game. The carmaker joined forces with director Gavin Hood and his production team to digitally integrate its first entirely virtual car – the Audi Fleet Shuttle Quattro – into the futuristic environment of the film. Frank Rimili, chief designer for the film project, said, "Designing the Audi Fleet Shuttle Quattro was similar to customizing a tailor-made suit.
