This is a marine Ford 460/7.5L replacement motor for Mercruiser/OMC and others. Reverse rotation and twin drive motors are available too, please ask! This same motor is also available for automotive/light truck applications, please inquire.

All longblocks have the following work done: Hot tanked Magnafluxed Bored on a Kwik-Way FN Honed on Sunnen equipment with Sunnen stones All rods are resized using Sunnen equipment All cranks are ground and polished Three angle valve job Heads are resurfaced The following parts are replaced: Main Bearings-Clevite Rod bearings-Clevite Cam bearings-Durabond Pistons-Sealed Power Rings-Hastings Oil Pump-Melling Camshaft-Melling Marine Lifters-Sealed Power Timing Set-Melling Brass freeze plugs All longblocks include a complete Fel-Pro marine gasket set and Melling oil pump to complete the installation. All motors are painted using the high-temp engine enamel and can be painted any color! This as close to a custom built engine you'll ever find! Mercedes’ AMG division unveils new twin-turbo V8
Tue, 09 Mar 2010Those obsessed with torque bemoaned Mercedes’ high-revving 6.2-litre V8 when it was launched in 2005, but just as the world has come to accept the naturally aspirated engine, the company has now unveiled a new twin-turbo 5.5-litre V8. Up to 563bhp – which is the same as the SLS AMG – and 663lb ft, which is much more than the 479lb ft the modern-day Gullwing supercar manages. The engine is an all-new 5.5-litre V8 (5461cc to be exact) with direct-injection technology, an aluminium crankcase and two turbochargers.
California looks to tighten pollution limits
Thu, 26 Jan 2012The California Air Resources Board is scheduled to vote on Thursday on whether to adopt stricter clean-air standards for the state proposed by the Advanced Clean Car program. The program's proposal combines the control of soot, smog-causing pollutants and greenhouse-gas emissions into a package that may be required for model years 2017 through 2025. According to the program, the rules aim to clean up conventionally powered cars, deliver more zero-emissions cars and ensure that a fueling infrastructure is available.
