New old stock Mickey Thompson Sportsman tubeless 26X8.50-15LT tire. This is an unusual vintage tire from the 1960s-70s. Just right to mount on a period wheel and display in your garage, den, man cave, or use it as a points-winning spare in your restored show car. This classic meat has never seen daylight: I got it and several other similar vintage muscle car tires from a tire dealership going out of business. The owner had deliberately collected these from other tire dealers and saved them indoors in his warehouse. Never been mounted -- as good as it gets. Feds researching fire risks from EV batteries, regulator says
Fri, 10 Jun 2011Federal safety regulators have begun an $8.75 million study of whether lithium ion batteries in electric vehicles pose a potential fire hazard, officials said Thursday. Kevin Vincent, chief counsel of the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, said researchers are looking at whether the high-voltage batteries can cause fires when they are being charged and when the vehicles are in an accident.
Hyundai Tucson teased ahead of Frankfurt motor show
Tue, 18 Aug 2009Hyundai has released a teaser shot of the next Tucson, which will be shown at the Frankfurt motor show in September. The ute will arrive in the United States early next year, and more specifics will be available closer to launch. It will wear different badging around the world and will be called the ix35 in Europe.
