Alternative Fuel Filtration System Racor Parker Filtration FFC-114

Brand new Parker FFC-114 high pressure compressed gas coalescing filter that removes over 95% of aerosols in the 0.3 to 0.6 micron range and are rated to withstand operating pressures up to 3600PSI. Ultra high quality stainless steel construction with bottom drain port and replaceable filter element.

Today’s new alternative fuels have the same old problems… particulate contamination that collects during handling and water that condenses in tanks. Racor anticipated the need for ultrafine filtration at the pressures required by compressed natural gas. The answer is the industry’s first, most complete and most efficient line of alternative fuel filters.  The FFC114 is designed for protecting critical engine components in compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquid natural gas (LNG) powered vehicles.  Contaminants can be introduced into the vehicle’s fuel tank when being fueled or may come from compressors and or storage facilities. The coalescing filter is specifically designed to remove oil, water, and solid contamination from compress natural gas. The patented coalescing filter removes over 95% of all aerosols in the .3 to .6 micron range. These models are constructed of 303 stainless steel designed to withstand high pressure and provide long term corrosion protection.

Aston Martin Rapide S: The video

Sun, 24 Mar 2013

Ahead of the media launch of the Aston Martin Rapide S in Spain, Aston Martin has delivered a Rapide S video to pique interest. Now we have the arrival of the Aston Martin Rapide S as a replacement for the Rapide, which goes a similar route to the DB9 with a more a aggressive attitude and more power. Aston Martin revealed the Rapide S in January in an effort to inject some oomph in to Rapide sales – as a replacement for the Rapide and not as an ‘S’ model to sit above it – bestowing it with 550bhp instead of the Rapide’s 470bhp, chucking in a new grill and boot spoiler and a set of the Gen 4 tweaks like adaptive dampers.

Hey Craig Jackson, how did the auction go?

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

Plenty of people were surprised this week that the original Batmobile sold for $4.6 million* at Barrett-Jackson. And few were more surprised than Craig Jackson, the ringleader behind the mega-million-dollar auction in Scottsdale. The last time we spoke to him, he had estimated the original Batmobile to be worth somewhere around $2 million (later $3-4 million, as he now said).
