This is a Ramsey DC200 Ram-Lok Industrial/Commercial low mount worm drive deck winch.  It's made for use on tow trucks mainly, but with the right mounting brackets (not included), can be used in other applications.  It however cannot be mounted sideways/upside down because it is oil cooled and oil would not make it to the right parts if the winch was mounted this way.

It has been disassembled, cleaned, re-sealed, and serviced with new oil.  It does come with a remote, that has ends retrofitted to work with a 75ft extension cord and a 4-prong trailer plug (for quick disconnect and storage) and works great.  The drive solenoids have both been replaced, and the motor was checked/cleaned.  Wires were re-used, and should be sealed for best performance.

The winch has an 8,000lb direct line-pull capacity, and the drum does come loaded with approximately 70 feet of 3/8" cable with no kinks....however there is some normal wear/tear on the cable.

Finally, as an added bonus, this will come with the full operating, service, and maintenance manual with full overhaul instructions should the winch ever need work.

I will accept a return up to 14 days after the winch has been delivered, buyer pays shipping.

McLaren P1 back at the Nurburgring in attack mode

Sat, 19 Oct 2013

The McLaren P1 is back at the Nurburgring looking to set a new record It was brave of Ron Dennis to declare – before the McLaren P1 was anywhere close to finished – that the it would be able to lap the Nurburgring in under 7 minutes. He was obviously very confident his new baby was up to the task but, just like McLaren’s current Formula One car, the P1 seems to be just a bit off the pace. Last month we reported that it seemed the best the McLaren P1 could do at the Nurburgring was a 7:04s – a time McLaren didn’t make official – so we knew McLaren would be back with their laptops and engineers as soon as they’d figured a way to trim those last few seconds.

Kia Picanto Quantum – a new ‘Originals’ model from Kia

Thu, 24 Apr 2014

It’s the ‘Original’ Kia Picanto Quantum As a little urban runaround, the Kia Picanto is a perfectly decent offering. And now you can get a more ‘Original’ Picanto. Kia like to think of their ‘Originals’ range of models as having distinct personalities and get changed at regular intervals just like a fashion collection.
