Here's a rare vintage nos Harley Sportster XLCR gas tank with emblems.  No dents or dings but paint has a notable chip I pictured and other small flaws that can be expected for something of this age.  Nonetheless, drop dead gorgeous!  Emblems are fabulous.  I've had this since the very early '80s for one of my Cafe Racers.  Next to my pair of '71-'72 FX gas tanks I have listed for sale this is my biggest heartripper to part with.  Insides are clean perfect, tho filler neck has some light rust as can be seen in pictures.  If you have one of these rare bikes and need a fabulous gas tank here it is!  I have 4 complete XLCR projects in case someone wants to hang themselves, contact me.  One is a 1977 x drag racer, never registered monster cubic inch, insane asylum with Certificate of Origin from the Harley Factory to Harley Davidson of Baton Rouge Louisiana. I have other paperwork from the La. State Police verifying why it was never titled since it was used exclusively as a racer.  This would make the buyer the original owner if registered.   I was saving this gas tank for it but I have a real good used one.  It has the Morris mags with original never-had-a-flat Goodyear tires on them.  It is also an early VIN.  I have a nos tail section, front fender, complete nos headlight setup, nos main and handlebar wiring, gauges, idiot light cluster, seat, all genuine HD and other terrific stuff for it.  Way too much to list.  It was surely not raced  with the stock rear tire, but maybe the front.  How many miles could it have at a 1/4 of a mile at a time?  The other 3 are fairly respectable projects too, but mostly stock. They are all survivors, meaning they haven't been restored... yet!  I can be reached at 985-785-8474.  If you want to see some of my work visit my 'site riversidecycle.net.  Please look over my other items as I'm parting with some fabulous vintage Harley stuff to make way for other Harley projects I've back-burnered for too long.

2015 Suzuki Vitara revealed – the Vitara returns!

Wed, 27 Aug 2014

The new Suzuki Vitara – debuts at the Paris Motor Show When the Suzuki  iV-4 Concept was revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year, in the spring, we knew it previewed a new model from Suzuki rather than a replacement for a model in its current range. But what we didn’t know is that Suzuki would revive a familiar badge for the production version of the  iV-4 Concept, but they have with the arrival of the new 2015 Suzuki Vitara. The new Vitara isn’t too far off the  iV-4 Concept in looks – just a bit more ‘production and a bit less ‘Concept’ – and will come with front-wheel-drive as standard, but you will be able to spec a new Vitara up with Suzuki’s ALLGRIP 4WD and a selection of engines offering ‘outstanding’ fuel economy.

After 63 years in production, more than 3.5 million Kombis have been built in Germany and Brazil.

Hyundai: E4U Egg Car & Fluidic Sculpture in Motion

Sun, 14 Apr 2013

Hyundai has already made it clear that 2013 will be about ‘Brand Awareness’ rather than releasing a new raft of models and chasing ever increasing sales, so two Hyundai outings in the last week can be put down to their targeted aim of profile raising. In Milan, Hyundai are taking part in the Milan Design Week by showing an innovative light sculpture that has been inspired by Hyundai’s ‘Fluidic Design’ (even though Hyundai have already said that ‘Fluidic Design’ is being replaced by ‘Fluidic Precision’ as they aim to make their designs ‘cleaner) with an installation made up of 12,000 translucent spheres acting collectively on a screen, surrounded by high-power lasers and suspended over a pool of water. The ‘performance’ starts with virtual rain created by the lasers which form three-dimensional shapes, followed by an interactive segment where human interaction creates three-dimensional images by scanning for body warmth so visitors can manipulate what they see by using gestures.
