Jaguar C-X75 concept

We waited with baited breath to see what the Jaguar design team had in store at the Paris motor show this year, and we weren't disappointed with the resulting showcar. Created by a team led by Matthew Beaven, Principal Designer at Jaguar Advanced Design, the C-X75 is both a celebration of Jaguar's 75 year history and a design showcase for the company's hybrid turbine technology. Audi S5 Sportback revealed

Audi are bringing the S5 Sportback to Frankfurt The S5 Sportback gets Audi’s 3.0 litre supercharged lump putting out 329bhp and delivering 324lb/ft of torque. Which will give the S5 Sportback performance of around 5.2 seconds to 60 mph. This change from big V8s is a shame, but it does result in better economy – estimates for the S5 S/B are pushing on 30mpg – and the reduced emissions help car makers like Audi lower their average emissions, and important consideration these days.

Island tour kicks off Hilton Head weekend

Intermittent sun and cool temperatures greeted the several dozen participants in the Hilton Head Island Motoring Festival and Concours d’Elegance “behind the gates” driving tour Friday, kicking off the concours weekend. The 30-some mile tour wound in and out of several gated communities near Hilton Head Island, stopping at various points along the way for people to get a view of the cars. The tour featured an eclectic mix of vehicles, something not always seen in events such as this.
