The Ampera will be the big news for GM’s European arm at the 2009 Geneva motor show (assuming GM is still in business by then, of course). The Ampera is designed around GM’s newly christened Voltec plug-in hybrid technology.

The final batch of convertible Swedish metal will be sold through 87 Saab authorised repairers in lieu of a dealer network. Saab 9-3 Convertible: the last of the line The final Saabs may be of sentimental value to fans of the marque, although the seven Independence Edition cars being offered for sale come in a rather challenging shade of burnt metallic orange.

Fri, 08 May 2009The Dacia Sandero Stepway will be available in Europe from September The Dacia Sandero Stepway is in fact the European version of the Stepway that was launched in Brazil at the end of last year by the Romanian version of Renault, and has now had its European launch at this week’s Barcelona Motor Show. Based on the Dacia Sandero hatchback, the Sandero features a raised ride height, a satin finished chrome nose and roof bars, 16″ wheels and a chrome exhaust pipe. It comes equipped with EBD (electronic brake distribution) and EBA (emergency brake assist).
