Condition:Used Brand:Lycoming Warranty:Yes Manufacturer Part Number:IO-540-K1E5 Make:Bellanca

The engine is already sold.  This offer is for a complete turbo system (except control cable) that fits a Lycoming IO-540.  I removed from my 1974 Bellanca Viking because I'm parting out my entire airplane.  This is a great opportunity for any Viking owner to upgrade their 17-31A to the 17-31ATC.  The system may work for any IO-540, but I'm not sure, so you may want to confirm that if you want to add to another airplane.

I flew my plane last time for 2 hours in Oct 2013, to annual inspection.  The turbos were rebuilt by Main, during my 2012 annual.  So, the turbos only have about 50 hours of time since overhaul.

Here, you can see the invoice for the turbo rebuilds and documentation of the tailpipe repair needed in my last eBay ad.  See the 1st paragraph of the description:

The darker tailpipe is the one still in really good condition.  The lighter one has been sandblasted or cleaned and is the one needing some welding work.  As you can see from my images, there are a couple of holes in it, and some cracking around the flange.

Here is a breakdown of all the components and how pricing is figured.  There are also expensive parts like the band clamps, which will be included.  Turbo cable sold, so discouting $100.

‘Why We Drive’ documentary looking for sponsors

Tue, 22 Apr 2014

Everyone who has a Netflix account, or uses a friend’s Netflix password, knows the documentary section is where all the action is. The only thing we’d ask for is a few more driving docs. And we hope that “Why We Drive” will enter the fray eventually, but SBR Productions needs a little help from enthusiasts.

New Jaguar XE (Jaguar C-X16) Spy Video

Sun, 28 Aug 2011

New Jaguar XE Spy video - or C-X16, if you prefer Will Jaguar’s new small Roadster – which we’re persisting in calling the Jaguar XE – actually turn up at Frankfurt 2011? Yes, but in the guise of what Jaguar are calling the Jaguar C-X16 ‘production concept’. We’ve had some spy photos of the Jaguar XE before – and we had Jaguar’s sketch of the C-X16 a couple of weeks ago, which told us nothing – and now we’ve got video of the XE (or at least a cut-down XK mule) out testing in Death Valley.

Audi A1 subcompact teaser

Mon, 14 Dec 2009

Audi has released a teaser shot of a new premium subcompact, the A1, which will be revealed at the Geneva auto show in March. The shot is a graffiti-style teaser and reveals very little. Still, it appears to be a fairly bold design, with a prominent front end, short front overhang and large wheel wells.
