These parts were removed from a 1996 Mercedes E320 which uses an electrical smog pump. They are needed when deleting or converting the mechanical smog pump on 1994 & 1995 W124 E320 cars with an M104 inline 6 motor.

Kit contains part numbers 104 155 06 35 (alternator bracket) and 104 205 09 05 (idler pulley bearing bracket) as well as all attachment bolts. Bearings on both brackets are in good condition.

The belt (not included) for smog pump deletion is 21.36 X 2245mm for tensioner pulley diameter of 93 mm or 2225 mm for 80 mm tensioner pulley diameter.

When the smog pump is deleted (or clutch solenoid is disconnected) OBD1 trouble code #4 will be set but it will not illuminate the check engine light.

General Motors is mulling a radical re-engineering for the Chevrolet Corvette, centered on a more fuel-efficient, mid-engined V6 powertrain, a lightweight alloy body and a more compact footprint. The idea is to re-energize GM's ambition for the Corvette, with fundamental changes that will make it into a contemporary global supercar. The changes are penciled into GM's product plan for the next major model change, the C8, with an on-sale date around 2016.

General Motors Co. CEO Dan Akerson says the carmaker is studying how it could double or triple production of the new Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid should sales demand accelerate. About 240,000 potential buyers have expressed an interest in the vehicle, but production in 2011 will be just 10,000 units.
