McLaren 650S (2014) first official pictures

The new supercar – which makes the 12C look obsolete – is in production now, and will cost punters around £195,000 for the coupe. A folding hard-top spider will also be available, for around £215,000. In a strategy reminiscent of Aston Martin’s continuous improvement of the DB9 and its transformation into the Vanquish, McLaren has revamped the carbonfibre 12C with 25% new parts.

Just 40 will be produced at a slightly pricey £124,900 – more than twice the price of the Standard Nissan GT-R. With fall just around the corner and summer car-show season beginning to fade, a nice transition will be held this Sunday when the Washington Redskins play host to their second-annual Redskins Rides event. Pigskin and sheetmetal fans can satisfy their dual addictions with the show at the Redskins' practice facility in Ashburn, Va. Last year, more than 3,000 attended the event, and players Antwaan Randle El, Jason Campbell and Chris Cooley were among the headliners who appeared from the team.
