Second new London taxi of 2014 unveiled
Thu, 16 Jan 2014LONDONERS had better prepare themselves for another new generation of taxi, just days after Nissan confirmed its own assault on the Black Cab market. The plug-in hybrid Fraser-Nash Range Extended Electric Metrocab is capable of more than 75mpg and less than 50g/km of CO2, and is expected to cost no more than a current Hackney carriage. The company says the vehicle could save cabbies £30 to £40 per day in running costs and can go longer between fill-ups.
Toyota GT86 gets 325bhp from Gazoo Racing – again
Thu, 03 Jan 2013Toyota’s renegade Gazoo Racing are teasing another Toyota GT86 with 325bhp – the GRMN FR Sports Concept Platinum – for the Tokyo Auto Salon. It’s always seemed likely that Toyota and Subaru would add a supercharger or turbo (or both) to their cars to give a properly powerful option.
Range Rover Evoque Price: An Evoque for under £28k

What we now know as the Evoque kicked off over three years ago as the Land Rover LRX, but turned in to the Evoque at a publicity bash at Kensington Palace last Summer. Since then we’ve had endless stories (well, around 40 since the Evoque was named) covering everything from the Evoque engine and model detail through to the 3-door Evoque (the Evoque Coupe) and the 5-door Evoque being revealed at different times.
