Great Wall Motors' Haval Coupe concept heading to Beijing
Mon, 14 Apr 2014Great Wall Motors will show the Haval Coupe concept at the upcoming Beijing motor show, an event that looks set to be dominated by this SUV crossover segment.Very few details and only these images of the car in a dark studio so it's impossible to comment on the work of recently-appointed GWM design director Pierre Leclercq, designer of the BMW X6. However what we can see are its trio of vertical lamp graphics front and rear, as the brand attempts to define its brand identity, as well as a tapered roofline, as befits its 'coupe' tag.More details to follow from Beijing. So now it’s time for some updates. The facelift for the 508 covers all three models in the 508 range – saloon, estate (SW) and the high-riding 508 RX – and mainly comprises of new bumpers front and back, new LED lights front and back, a re-profiled bonnet and a new grill with the Peugeot Lion front and centre.

Yes, you read that right - the BMW Concept 6 has a 1600cc straight six slung across the frame. Honda tried something similar for the CBX1000 in the 1970s but the idea never really caught on even if the true width increase over a contemporary four wasn’t as huge as your eyes would have you believe.
