Tue, 01 Feb 2011There are less than two weeks left for European design students to submit their exterior entry to the Car Design News - Opel/Vauxhall Interactive Design competition. The competition, which closes to entries on Friday February 11th, asks students to design a lounge exterior, based around the design of one of the three finalists of the interior competition. Mercedes-Benz considering Aston Martin buyout
Wed, 02 Apr 2014Mercedes-Benz is reportedly considering a deal to buyout sports car manufacturer Aston Martin, fuelling rumours that the canned Aston Martin Lagonda SUV concept from 2009 (pictured above) could once again be back on. The move would see Merc increase its current 5% stake in the British brand following a deal announced last year to supply AMG engines for Aston’s next generation of sports cars. Porsche Panamera to get new V6 engine
Tue, 16 Feb 2010Porsche will reveal two new 3.6 V6 petrol versions of the Panamera at the Beijing motor show 2010. These are the first official photos of the new models, the Panamera and Panamera 4, which will be offered as cheaper alternatives to the S, 4S and Turbo versions. In the rear-wheel drive entry-level Porsche Panamera, the new 296bhp, 295lb ft V6 powerplant produces 265g/km of CO2 and will manage just 25 miles on a gallon of fuel.
