up for auction is a late thirties or early forties ELTO ace.  I bought it hoping to use it on my boat, but I found another antique outboard that I am much more interested in and this must go.  The engine pulls nice and feels like it has compression.  It looks mostly complete from what I can see.  I have not tried to run it yet. Please see the photos to see repairs done to the skeg and tiller handle.  From what I've been told, these are some of the best engines built by OMC during this era.  If I didn't need the space for the other engine, I would be keeping this.

Porsche Panamera – a real Porsche +video

Sat, 17 Oct 2009

Porsche have produced a promo video for the Panamera to show it's a real part of the Porsche family But I was won over with the Cayenne when I first got to drive one. So much so I bought one – and I’ve kept it for four years. I’ve driven most Porsches over the years and admired them hugely.

The system uses integral sensors to check how the driver is setting the car up for the corner and adjusts the settings if the driver is not getting it right. It can correct over or under steer by applying braking to any of the wheels individually and even adjust the torque to make sure the car goes where the driver intends.

Toyota iQ and Urban Cruiser (2008): first official pictures

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 13 February 2008 12:28 Toyota hasn’t bottled it, thank goodness. This first photograph of the iQ shows that the production version of this fascinating mini has kept all the cheeky charm of last year’s show car, which won CAR’s concept car of the year gong. The iQ at 2007’s Frankfurt Motor Show wowed us for its fresh design, its simplicity and its back-to-basics overhaul of how a small car could be engineered.
