While wandering through a recycling yard in Jacksonville NC, I happened onto an early 50's Desoto and a same era Plymouth. I picked this horn ring with button and attaching hardware from the Desoto cuz it looked so cool! I also got 3 pieces off the Plymouth steering wheel which are NOT included but will put in a separate auction. I did a quicky polish on the horn button rim and it shines pretty nice but there are a few deep pits and some handling scratches. Ornament color is real nice! Thanx

XFR Jag the fastest ever
Tue, 13 Jan 2009They took with them the usual holiday toys, but they remembered to pack a nice new Jaguar XFR, with a few mods necessary to run at Bonneville (roll cage, fire extinguishers, etc). They had a little fiddle with the ECU to derestrict it (and yield 600bhp) but, it is claimed, made no further mods apart from adding a spoiler at the back to stop the XFR taking off on the Salt Flats’ wide open spaces. Jaguar XFR breaks 225mph at Bonneville So what happened?
Decision time at the dawn of the automated car
Mon, 29 Oct 2012The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers sent out a press release earlier this month in which they claim that by 2040 75% of the vehicles on the road will be autonomous. As much as I love driving, I have to admit that I won't bemoan the death of the traffic jam. I'll happily give up the crowded freeways and city streets if it means cheaper gas and abandoned back roads.
