My father in law just purchased a 1951 Chevrolet C10 pickup truck with a GM 216 6 cyclinder gas engine motor in it. from the 2nd owner of it who owned it the past 35 years!! the truck was in EXCELLENT ORIGINAL condition!! the only issue it had was that it had NOT been drove many miles in the past 5 years, its just been setting in a heated garage!! Well taken care of, well maintained!! He bought the truck, got it running again, drove it about 500 miles, and then decided to turn it into a hot rod!! A new survey claims that the average mum and dad clocks up around 30 miles a week ferrying their youngster to school, to clubs and to see friends, spending around three-and-a-half hours in the car. It means that the average parent racks up around 26,741 miles driving their child around between the ages of three and 20, and spends around 3,147 hours behind the wheel, according to Goodyear, which commissioned the poll.
