 First, This is an Original 1952 Oldsmobile Service Manual (copyright 1952). It covers all 1952 Oldsmobile model cars, including: 88, Deluxe 88, Super 88, and
Ninety Eight, in the body styles of Holiday, Coupes and Sedans, Convertibles,
and Fiesta Sedans, and is in Excellent form, Pages in Excellent ++ shape.
 It’s 17 Chapters include: General Info, Lube, Hydra-Matic Tranny, Steering, Suspension, Propeller Shaft & Differential, Brakes, Rocket Engine (inc Specs and Carburetion), Engine Tune up, Clutch, Synchromesh, Frames and Bumpers, Electrical, Instrument and Radio, and A/C. It even has Chassis Sheet Metal, Ventilating and Heating, and Body!  This manual has all the exploded diagrams and pictures to make even the hardest repair seem easy. The detail and information is such that even the novice mechanic can tackle any maintenance and/or repair job. The binding & cover are strong but with fraying and/or stains/marks on the cover. Good: The pages are all there, but with signs of much use. Some may be taped, slightly torn, or show a lot of greasy prints or dirt. The binding & cover are intact, but may be loose or has much fraying at the edges. Sun, 18 Sep 2011Rimac One Concept - an electric hypercar at Frankfurt Our antipathy towards electric cars – and the seeming futility of pursuing a technology that has made little progress in a century – is well known. But we do see electric cars as a fun toy for the better-off, and 23 year-old Croatian Mate Rimac has impressed Frankfurt with his Rimac Concept One electric supercar, which is perhaps the ultimate electric toy for the better-off. Perhaps, in the case of the Rimac One, we should consider it a toy for the seriously well-off, rather than just the better-off, as it’s expected to cost a quite substantial £650k for each of the 88 cars Mate intends making.
Is Jaguar Land Rover about to get in to bed with Chery Automobile in China?
Wed, 19 Oct 2011Jaguar Land Rover to partner with Chery Automobile Following on from yesterday’s report that Jaguar are upping the ante in India with plans to assemble the Jaguar XF and Range Rover Evoque in Tata’s back garden, we now hear that JLR has agreed a deal with Chery Automotive in China for a joint venture. We reported back in February that sources in China were saying that the most likely partner for Jaguar Land Rover would be Chery Automobile, and reports from China Daily say that things have moved on since February and JLR and Chery have now got as far as seeking government approval for a joint venture. When we had the news back in February about a possible JLR/Chery deal, we asked Jaguar about the reports.
