Frankfurt Motor Show 2009 Preview
Thu, 20 Aug 2009The Frankfurt Motor Show 2009 runs from 17th -27th September to the public Many of the Japanese makers will be conspicuous by their absence, but that should be more than made up for by the launches from the big European makers. And of course the Koreans – in the guise of Hyundai and Kia – will do what they’re starting to do in the market place and fill the gap left by the Japanese. RIP Sergio Pininfarina 1926–2012
Tue, 03 Jul 2012Sergio Pininfarina died last night at his home in Turin. He was 85 years old. Born in Turin on 8 September 1926 to Pininfarina's founder Battista Farina, Sergio was instrumental in growing the company during his almost 50 years at the helm of the most famous Italian design house.

Styled at the Korean giant’s European Design Centre in Frankfurt, the estate will be built at a new production plant in the Czech republic. 'Designed and built in Europe for Europeans," as the Koreans are bound to say at its official debut at the Frankfurt motorshow later this year.
