Rare steering column with sport steering wheel removed from 1979 Mustang Indy pace car. Still has orig ford ignition key! These early columns had horn switch on side (see pic) and are hard to find now. I believe Ford used these from 79-early 82 on mustang and capri's. This column is fully functional and everything worked well when it was in car. The early padded steering wheel is still nice with no missing foam just some normal wear to edge. Comes with end shaft and joint so it will bolt right up to your gearbox.  We do have some other parts (center button and covers) that we will list in another auction. Email with any q's. Be sure to check out our other nice parts too!

Autoweek archives: Porsche, same as it ever was? Not quite

Wed, 28 Sep 2011

In July 1997, Autoweek introduced its readers to the next-generation Porsche 911, the Type 996. Hot off the Frankfurt motor show release of the redesigned Type 991 2012 Porsche 911, we thought it might be fun to look at how much the iconic German sports car has changed since then. While it looks like not much has changed, the Type 991 is a brand-new car.

SEAT Ibiza ECOMOTIVE does 100mpg

Mon, 04 May 2009

Gerhard Plattner achieved almost 100mpg in a SEAT Ibiza ECOMOTIVE But when press release came in from SEAT this afternoon telling us that a SEAT Ibiza ECOMOTIVE has just achieved a run, on real roads from Barcelona to Germany, of 1,562km and used just 45.53 litres of fuel, we had to get our calculators out (we’re so old now we can only see the reality of the achievement in mpg!). By our reckoning the Ibiza managed just a shade under 100mpg. Astonishing.

Nissan GT-R R36: Is this it?

Fri, 14 Mar 2014

Facebook user 7tune snapped a picture of a Japanese magazine claiming to have pictures of the R36 Nissan GT-R. The poster, whom we assume can read Japanese, says the next GT-R will have a hybrid powertrain like the McLaren P1 and Ferrari LeFerrari. He also says it will carry a new version of the company's twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 making 580 hp.
