Today we go from one extreme to the other with the UK launch of the VW Polo BlueMotion, for those car buyers who value economy over performance. As we’ve said before, the latest VW Polo is a great little car (although not so little any more) and feels more like a ‘little big car’ than just a little car.

Now open for registration to design students based in China, the competition aims to further improve the quality of designs emerging from what will soon be the largest automotive market in the world. Students are asked to work to briefs set by three automotive manufacturers - GM PATAC, PSA-Peugeot/Citroen and Volkswagen - with the entries judged by a panel of design directors from both international and domestic OEMs.
Nissan Hi-Cross concept previewed [w/video]
Tue, 28 Feb 2012Nissan has presented a first look of its Nissan Hi-Cross Concept that will be shown at the Geneva motor show. The manufacturer has released a first image as well as a video of the new crossover concept, which is set to sit above the hugely successful Qashqai in Nissan's crossover range. This model – joining the Juke, Qashqai and Murano – continues Nissan's commitment to the segment.
