McLaren F1 debuted 20 years ago this week

It’s 20 years this week since the iconic McLaren F1 made its debut at The Sporting Club in Monte Carlo. There were many reasons why we thought McLaren would preview the new F1 to a select audience at last week’s Monaco Grand Prix, not least of which was that it’s 20 years since the first McLaren F1 was revealed to a select audience in the Principality. But it was not to be.

Under current legislation, any new driver who receives six (or more) penalty points within two years of passing their test automatically has their licence revoked.
