Seat Altea Freetrack (2007): first official pictures

By Jack Carfrae First Official Pictures 22 May 2007 10:19 Seat Altea Freetrack: the lowdown Seat has given the Altea some wellington boots to join the burgeoning ranks of wannabe soft-roader 4x4s. First seen in concept guise at the Geneva Motor Show back in March, the Altea Freetrack is Seat's first-ever attempt at an off-roader. However, an extra 40mm of ground clearance, some chunky tyres and aesthetically challenging grey cladding don’t necessarily mean that the Freetrack is going to beat a Defender to the top of the hill.

Honda CR-Z Hybrid – the promo video

Honda has released a promo video (below) for the Honda CR-Z Last month we got the specs and prices for the UK Honda CR-Z Hybrid, Honda’s modern hybrid take on the CR-X – they want us to believe. So having given us the buy price – it starts at £17k – and the specification – the basic gets Climate ,  CD player, heated door mirrors, rear dimming mirror, electric windows, daytime running lights and Shift Indicator Light (SIL) – it’s now time to get the marketing underway. Despite feeling that Honda are barking up the wrong tree by trying to make an underpowered hybrid powertrain seem an appealingly sporty prospect, we have to admire their wish to do so.

BMW M3 DTM Championship Edition not coming to United States

BMW is celebrating its domination of the 2012 DTM series with a special edition M3. Canadian driver Bruno Spengler claimed the driver’s title; BMW Team Schnitzer finished top in the team standings and BMW claimed the manufacturer’s title. Only 54 examples of the BMW M3 DTM Championship Edition will be offered in various international markets—but not the United States.
