CarFest South 2013: the best bits of Chris Evans’ car show in pictures

The weather wasn’t all it could have been but that didn’t stop the fun at the 2013 instalment of CarFest South at Laverstoke Park Farm near Basingstoke in Hampshire. The annual event organised by DJ, TV presenter and famous car nut Chris Evans ran over three days with a sell-out crowd helping raise money for Children in Need.MSN Cars was on site capturing the best of the cars and the atmosphere. Infiniti Digital Art Gallery

This week saw the launch of Infiniti's Digital Art Competition Gallery. The culmination of a three-year international contest, the online gallery showcases the best 32 images created by international artists. Each of the works has been created under the theme of ‘Inspired Performance', a category which saw over 500 submissions in the first three months of the contest.

Volkswagen Golf GTD Mk 7 revealed

The 2013 VW Golf GTD has been revealed ahead of a Geneva Motor Show debut with 181bhp, 67.3mpg and 109g/km emissions. The new VW Golf GTD get VW’s new 2.0 litre 4-cylinder diesel which offers an impressive 181bhp and a very decent 280lb/ft of torque, enough to get to 62mph in 7.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 143mph. The extra power (up 13bhp and 22lb/ft of torque) may mean better performance than the Mk 6 GTD, but it’s not at the price of poorer economy.
