This "Hi-Performance" distributor was ordered from Dick Paterson's "Springfield Ignition" for our 1974 GMC Motorhome. (455 engine) When it was installed it didn't perform properly. At Springfield Ignition's request the unit was returned to be checked. The unit was returned to us stating there were no problems, but when the unit was installed it failed to perform again. Ford S-Max concept
Wed, 28 Aug 2013Ford has released details of its S-Max concept ahead of its official debut at the Frankfurt motor show next month. Building on the success of the current-generation S-Max, the concept (surely more a pre-production show car than a true concept) continues the low, long and sporty twist on the SUV recipe that has made it such a hit in Europe. So it retains the monovolume outline with a soft transition from hood to windscreen and the tapered roofline.
Henrik Fisker leaves his eponymous company
Thu, 14 Mar 2013Henrik Fisker, co-founder of Fisker Automotive, has resigned from the company as Fisker seeks funding to move forward. But Henrik Fisker managed to convince the car world his Fisker Karma was credible, even if its gestation has been plagued by problems, the latest of which has been the demise of its battery supplier – A123 Systems – and the wrecking of a dock full of seemingly uninsured Karmas by Hurricane Sandy. The current problems at Fisker has seen them seeking a new investor, with two Chinese companies – Geely and Dohnfeng – vying to take a majority stake in Fisker Automotive and help Fisker recover sales of the Karma and move on with Project Nina, the smaller Fisker Atlantic.
