This is an original tail light with housing for a 1957 Ford Galaxie.  It may fit other years of Ford cars as well, so please check the part number and photos carefully for your application. The housing is in good condition with no cracks or breaks, and original mounting studs are intact and useable. The red lens is intact, however, it does have some hairline fractures and scratches on it. The chrome trim has a shallow dent in it, along with some pitting, and will need to be repaired and rechromed for show. The inner bucket is rusty, and may or may not be useable.

The GT86 TRD, of which just 250 examples are UK-bound, gets a subtle bodykit, bigger wheels, a tuned exhaust and a couple of badging trinkets, but crucially, no extra power from the 2.0-litre boxer engine. A mistake, given that the price is up by £6500?

Volkswagen has launched a new design contest in order to find three students to undergo a six-month internship program at its Wolfsburg design center. In order to prove your worth, you have to design a car that looks beyond the current paradigms of The Car. Think more about how personal mobility – and particularly autonomous cars – will look, feel and interact by creating a new scenario: "Video games have created their own unique medium, devoid of normal design barriers," reads the competition website.
