Cicero, Indiana, United States
Condition:Used Brand:Jones Serial Number:452662

This is the rarity you've been looking for!  An original Jones motorcycle / motorbike speedometer ~ odometer with trip odometer. AND IT WORKS!!!

Original glass bezel, unbroken and no chips.

The dial is patent marked, "Made in New York, USA pat'd July 26th 1904 - Sept. 22, 1908"

There's a stamped manufactures serial number lightly stamped just beneath the top of the dial face, 452662

I guarantee this works. I haven't actually mounted it to a bike but my mechanic tested it and the needle and mileage registered in a way that convinced my mechanic it was still perfectly functional. The trip odometer reset button also works. It ALL WORKS!

It's grimy and some paint has rubbed off the brass case. It is so beautiful "as-is" I didn't want to clean it.

The glass bezel measures just 2 & 15/16ths inch. The body measures 2 and 7/8th inch from front to back.

Paul Walker crash 'caused by speed'

Wed, 26 Mar 2014

CRASH INVESTIGATORS have determined that the Porsche carrying "Fast & Furious" star Paul Walker was travelling at approximately 90mph when it lost control on a California street and smashed into a light pole, killing the actor and his friend. A person who has reviewed the investigators' report said that it concluded unsafe driving, not mechanical problems, caused the crash. The report says driver Roger Rodas was going between 81mph and 94mph when his 2005 Porsche Carrera GT began to drift as it lost control after coming out of a curve.

One Lap of the Web: new imports, old imports

-- The 1956 Maserati A6G-2000 Allemano is as beautiful as it is rare, and if Jay Leno didn't take one for a spin in this video, we probably wouldn't see one until next year's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. -- Simon Cowell (of Simon Cowell fame) bought a Bugatti Veyron three years ago because a friend told him its a good idea, and he's driven it a total of two times since. Not driven it at its maximum speed, but just driven period.
