Antique Siren 6volts Dc - Working ! on 2040-parts.com

Location:

Springdale, Arkansas, United States

Springdale, Arkansas, United States
This thing works ! VERY LOAD ! Used a 6 volt car battery charger to test it. Will need wire replaced and has a few scratches.
Country/Region of Manufacture:United States

I rescued this siren from certain destruction from an old factory facility some years ago, played with it a bit and then it ended up in storage for about 20 years. Works Real Good but the wire feed is a bit frayed and should be replaced. Replacing the wire looks easy enough to replace so I am selling it 'As Is' and only that it Does Work ! Wear Ear Plugs !! I will Not be responsible for loss of hearing ! Made by the Federal Sign And Signal Corp., Chicago IL. Please Note: This is a 6 Volt DC (direct current) Device And Any Attempt To Operate It At A Higher Voltage Will Surely Damage It !

Thank You Looking and Happy Bidding !

Tue, 30 Dec 2008

Don’t think for a minute that we’re going to lose the supercar stunts we know and love, and see them replaced by the charms of a Kia Cee’d economy run, but Top Gear, in common with the rest of the Beeb, is having its budget cut – apparently. Andy Wilman, who is the brains behind TG (and its producer) together with Jeremy Clarkson, has been bemoaning the budget cuts planned for the show on the TG website.
