FOR SALE. AN AUSTIN HEALEY 3000 BJ8 COMPLETE USED ENGINE AND OVERDRIVE TRANSMISSION. DOES NOT INCLUDE THE CARBS. ENGINE NUMBER 29K-RU/H5804. ENGINE TURNS OVER EASILY BY HAND. AT AUCTION I BOUGHT THREE ENGINES AND OD TRANSMISSION UNITS FROM A COLLECTOR'S ESTATE. UNFORTUNATELY NOBODY IN THE FAMILY KNEW ANY DETAILS ON THEM. I WAS GOING TO REBUILD THE ENGINE AND TRANS BUT AT PRESENT NOT ABLE TO DO MUCH OF ANYTHING. WAS IN HOSPITAL FOR 90 DAYS AND HAD FOUR BACK OPERATIONS. I AM NOT ALLOWED TO LIFT ANYTHING MORE THAN MY ARM.
THE CYLINDER HEAD IS THE LATER HEAD, CASTING NUMBER AEC960. INCLUDED IS THE STARTER, GENERATOR, DISTRIBUTOR, INTAKE AND EXHAUST MANIFOLDS, THROTTLE LINKGAGE, WATER PUMP WITH FAN BLADE ETC. ETC. AGAIN, EXCEPT FOR THE CARBS THE ENGINE APPEARS TO BE COMPLETE. I DO HAVE THE VALVE COVER, I HAD IT TAKEN OFF TO SHOW THE VALVE TRAIN. THE GEARBOX HAS A NOTE HANDWRITTEN WHICH SAYS 'GOOD'. HAVE NO IDEA WHO WROTE THAT NOR AM I ABLE TO VERIFY BUT THE GEARBOX ROTATES AND SHIFTS. YOU CAN PICK IT UP IN DAYTON OHIO. WILL DELIVER WITHIN 100 MILES OF DAYTON. Top Gear Series 19: Video trailer & 1st episode details
Sat, 19 Jan 2013Series 19 of Top Gear returns to BBC 2 on 27th January, and we have a video trailer and details of the first episode. It’s been a bit odd without Top Gear on our screens (well, new Top Gear episodes), but normal service will resume on 27th January as series 19 of Top Gear returns to BBC2. Ahead of the first episode of series 19 (there will be seven episodes in total), the Beeb is making sure we know there’s a new Top Gear series coming with a short video trailer, and the BBC has also sent us details of the first episode.

The 316d ES gets BMW’s 2.0 litre 4-pot diesel and a six-speed manual ‘box, which manages a quite impressive 62.8mpg and emits only 118g/km of CO2. That puts it in to the £35 a year VED band and makes this the cleanest and most economical 3 Series yet.
