New Vauxhall Astra – the Interior

The New Astra's interior has been revealed by Vauxhall / Opel today So it was a bit of a surprise that so soon after we’ve had info on the interior of the new Astra drop in to our inbox from Vauxhall. But then I suppose we shouldn’t be surprised. Vauxhall have a habit of throwing things out in lumps.

BMW's Director of Design Adrian van Hooydonk explains the design strategy behind the 4-Series Coupe concept's design in a video interview filmed at the car's reveal at the Munich Design Night. He talks us through how the design team played with the wheelbase length to create new shapes and convey a sense of "elegance and power". SPD offers scholarships for autumn program with Volkswagen Group

The Scuola Politecnica di Design is giving away eight scholarships for its autumn program in collaboration with the Volkswagen Group. The scholarships are aimed at students with degrees in transportation or car design, automotive engineering or equivalent degrees that show a high level of potential. The successful eight students will be given scholarships and will begin their studies at the Milan-based SPD on October 24. The awarding of the scholarships will be decided by a ‘motivational interview', an evaluation of the student's portfolio and the submission of a conceptual project assignment, with the election process being conducted jointly by the SPD and Volkswagen.
