So step forward the new A4 Avant, unveiled today.The estate version of the A4 will major on sporty style rather than outright practicality, but the numbers are smaller (less thirsty than the old one) and larger (boot capacity up by 48 litres to 490, 1430 with the seats down) as appropriate. Nissan Ellure concept (2010) unveiled

The Nissan Ellure has today made its world debut at the 2010 LA auto show. Nissan's senior vice president and chief creative officer, Shiro Nakamura states that 'it's not intended as a preview of any upcoming production model' and that 'the Ellure confirms Nissan’s intention to be a strong player in the sedan segment for many years to come' An interesting u-turn, as Nissan has steadfastly pioneered niche markets over the last decade, whilst turning their back on the traditional sectors. Well, the drivetrain's worth a mention: the Ellure boasts a supercharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder with Intelligent Dual Clutch Control (one motor/two clutch design with lithium-ion battery) and 25 kW electric motor.

A look at Acura future products

Acura is in the middle of a major product changeover, reflecting plans to challenge second-tier luxury rivals Audi, Buick, Infiniti and Volvo rather than Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Lexus. Acura has launched the ILX compact sedan and redesigned the RDX compact crossover. It will redesign the RL flagship this fall and make changes to the MDX crossover and TL mid-sized sedan in 2013.
