Adaptive steering for big Fords arrives on new Edge

It's a further sign that what was once the high-tech preserve of the German brands is now firmly in the mainstream. BMW was one of the brands which pioneered variable-ratio power steering; in essence, it changes the ratio between the driver's inputs at the wheel and the rate at which turns are made at the rack.

Audi A1 S line Style Edition adds value to S Line

The Audi A1 S line Style Edition (pictured) joins the A1 range Audi, as we know, likes to fill every niche it can with new car product, and it also loves to fill in any gap it perceives in its model trim lineup. So the bean counters at Audi have decided that there’s a hole in the A1 range for a car that’s a bit better equipped than an A1 S Line, but not quite as good as the A1 Black Edition. Ford outsells GM for second time since 1998

Ford Motor Co. outsold rival General Motors in the United States last month for the second time since 1998. Ford, aided by a 21 percent jump in truck sales amid rising gasoline prices, said today it sold 212,295 light vehicles last month, or 5,674 more than GM.
