Ford has sold 250,000 new Fiesta in its first nine months Ford has announced that in the first nine months of production, the new Ford Fiesta has shifted a very impressive 250,000 units, more than any previous Fiesta managed in the same time-frame. I can’t say we’re too surprised by this. We really like the Ford Fiesta.

MORE THAN two million Britons will head overseas for the bank holiday weekend, with those staying at home having to contend with busy roads and disrupted rail journeys. While some are taking to the air to travel to Mediterranean hotspots, anyone getting the car out in the UK will have to compete for road space with an estimated nine million other vehicles. Around 500,000 passengers are expected to depart from Heathrow airport over the weekend, as well as 234,000 from Gatwick, 172,000 from Manchester, more than 150,000 from Scotland's airports and 134,000 from Stansted.

As part of the Jaguar Land Rover plan to get Jaguar F-Types flying out of showrooms in the same way Range Rover Evoques do, Jaguar had brokered a deal with unions on working practices at Castle Browmwich to make sure they can cope with demand when the F-Type goes on sale.
