The DEI 515R is a battery back-up siren. The siren is equipped with a 9-volt backup battery, which recharges while you're driving. If the power to your armed alarm is cut at your vehicle's battery, the 515R siren will trigger and will continue to sound until you shut it off by inserting one of the included siren keys. The siren features 6-tones, which can be tailored to make your siren identifiable. You can also adjust the volume of the siren's command confirmation chirps.
