Frankfurt Motor Show 2009 Preview

The Frankfurt Motor Show 2009 runs from 17th -27th September to the public Many of the Japanese makers will be conspicuous by their absence, but that should be more than made up for by the launches from the big European makers. And of course the Koreans – in the guise of Hyundai and Kia – will do what they’re starting to do in the market place and fill the gap left by the Japanese. It obviously didn’t sell. Back in November, Bugatti took a trio of Veyron Grand Sport models to the Dubai Motor Show, all decked out with a host of options from Bugatti’s endless ‘extras’ list in the hope of making a dent in the still 100+ Grand Sports they have left to build.

Along with striking looks, Renault is also offering a raft of clean diesel engines and promising the Megane will feature improved fit and finish, along with better reliability and durability. The new five-door Megane is the first of six new models that will be on sale by 2010 – the line-up includes a three-door variant, an estate, a CC and the Scenic, with production split between France and Spain.
