Honda S660 concept stars at the Tokyo Motor Show 2013

Honda is calling the S660 a concept, but when company president Takanobu Ito took to the stage at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, one of the first things he did was confirm this exciting new small sports car – the spiritual successor to the Honda Beat – will be going into production in 2015. This is great news for Honda, and Ito-san acknowledged a next-generation small sports car has been long awaited by Honda fans, who’ve had little excitement to cheer about since the last Civic Type R and the S2000 roadster were stripped from the model line up. Hyundai Genesis Hurricane SC prototype heads for SEMA

Hyundai will debut its newest prototype, the Genesis Hurricane SC, at the SEMA show in Las Vegas next month. With the help of Magnuson Products, Rhys Millen Racing, Harman International and Torvec Inc., Hyundai upped the output of its rear-wheel-drive coupe to 450 hp. The Hurricane SC (for supercharged) is the result of two years of development to enhance the power, traction, braking, exterior and interior design and the audio system.

Lexus RC Coupe revealed at Tokyo Motor Show

The Lexus RC coupe debuted on Wednesday at the Tokyo motor show. The RC coupe will available with two different powertrain options; the RC 350 will use a 3.5-liter V6 producing 314 hp, coupled with an eight-speed automatic gearbox including paddle shifters. The RC 300h will be fitted with a 2.5-liter inline four producing 176-bhp combined with an electric motor.
