Kia has released a short film featuring Peter Schreyer that provides an insight into the world of premium car design in which he explains the importance of proportion. In the presentation, Schreyer sketches the company's new K9 sedan, describing how a rear-wheel drive platform affects the car's design, with its generous wheelbase, short front overhang and the 'prestige distance' between the center of the front wheel and the A-pillar. Lots of new 2012 BMW 3-Series photos BMW UK has produced a big gallery of UK specific photos for the new 2012 BMW 3-Series – and a video too – and confirmed xDrive and hybrid 3-Series for the UK. We got the reveal of the 2012 BMW 3-Series back in October, together with a decent amount of detail, a big photo gallery and video too. But as BMW UK has taken the trouble to send us a huge gallery of UK-specific photos of the new 3-Series, new UK 3-Series video and confirmed extra models, we thought the least we could was publish what they’ve sent.

College Exhibition: Pforzheim Design Forum 2006

The biennial Design Forum at Pforzheim Hochschule in Germany took place last week, with six international design schools joining together to present and discuss the latest work of their students. The Forum is held in conjunction with the annual summer degree show at Pforzheim where Diploma and Masters students presented their work. The Forum was chaired by Professor James Kelly who welcomed the tutors and their accompanying students to the event.
