Jaguar F-Type public debut at Goodwood Festival of Speed
Thu, 21 Jun 2012Jaguar are giving the F-Type development prototype its first public outing at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. It’s less than three months since we discovered that the C-X16 would be the new Jaguar F-Type, but there’s been plenty of news on the spiritual successor to the E-Type since then, even though it’s the best part of a year before the F-Type launches. We know that the F-Type will come not only with the new supercharged V6 but that there will also be a V8 supercharged version of the F-Type on offer which, if it gets the full fat 550bhp version, will be a very swift cat indeed.
Motor industry backs EU membership
Thu, 03 Apr 2014MOTOR MANUFACTURERS have given strong backing for the UK staying in the European Union, citing benefits including business links and free movement of labour. A survey by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) showed that 92% of automotive firms believed that staying in the EU would be best for their business, although most wanted to see reforms. The SMMT said its study showed how EU membership benefited the industry, such as access to a single market and funding for research and development.
VW Tiguan – People’s Reviewer Winner
Tue, 22 Sep 2009Harriet Gore gets a VW Tiguan as the winner of the People's Review The last update we did had the three finalists doing different challenges to bid for votes. Johnny was taking the Tiguan off to a sheep farm to play around; Eric was off to Silverstone to have a bash on the track and the skid-pan and Harriet was off on a mystery tour round Oxford (which as we said at the time was no easy thing). Well, the winner’s been announced this morning and it’s Harriet, who wins a nice shiny VW Tiguan for her efforts.
