Overfinch Range Rovers retain their value on used car market

CAP – used car value experts - have revealed that Overfinch enhancements to Land Rover vehicles retain their value on used cars. It’s all very well paying an aftermarket customiser to make your new pride and joy more individual, but you can probably kiss goodbye to most of what you’ve spent when it comes time to trade in your car. In order to promote the launch of the Golf R in the US, Volkswagen has created a series of videos featuring fans of the iconic Euro hatch for a new iPad app. Here Chip Foose, founder of Foose Design and presenter of hit TV show, Overhaulin', tells the story of his first VW Golf, a 1985 GTI. But the highlight of the video is watching Foose produce a marker rendering of the MkII GTI in his own distinct style, usually associated with the hotrod scene.

Ford MyKey system now limits cell phone use for teens

Ford's MyKey system has been able to limit speeds and audio volume to improve teen-driver safety. Now, new technology will allow the system to limit cell phone use as well. Launching on the 2012 Ford Explorer, the new technology means that, when hooked up to Sync, the teen's phone will send calls to voicemail and save texts for later reading, but drivers can still make voice-activated outgoing calls.
