Details Float airbag system Tech Specs A real life saver. The Float airbag system is light, affordable, and easy to use, and most importantly, it could save your life. It uses a compressed air cylinder to almost instantly inflate a 150-liter airbag that helps keep you at or near the surface of a slide in order to minimize evacuation time and blunt force trauma from debris and hidden obstacles. Backcountry Access also has the world's most extensive network of cylinder refill and exchange centers, making it easier for you to get a new compressed air cylinder after you have to deploy your airbag. The Float 22 features enough volume to stash your climbing skins, a hydration pack, snacks, an extra layer, and, of course, all the avalanche safety essentials. In fact, it has dedicated shovel and probe sleeves so you can quickly access your avalanche rescue tools when the worst happens. From the B-pillar forward its Pontiac G8, but on the back there’s a 6ft pick-up bed and the suspension has been beefed up to the take the expected loads and tows. Under the bonnet is the same 6.0-litre V8 used in the G8 GT, delivering 361bhp and 385lb ft, but Active Fuel Management and a six-box auto ‘box should keep the as-yet unstated fuel economy affordable.

But in a clear indication that Nissan still believes there’s a future for the electric car as a replacement for the ICE car, they’ve revealed they have plans for four further EV models. Three of those models are already clear; an Infiniti with the electric drivetrain from the LEAF, an electric version of the NV200 van and the LEAF itself.
Cadillac ATS priced at $33,990
Mon, 07 May 2012The 2013 Cadillac ATS, which we first saw at the Detroit auto show, will start at $33,990 when it goes on sale this summer, General Motors said on Monday. The range-topping version will carry a price of $42,090. Power for the base model will come from a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that returns 30 mpg on the highway.
