-- Just in time for Halloween, here's project car as scary as it is inexplicable. A 1988 Lamborghini Countach, actually made by Lamborghini of Italy in 1988 (at the Lamborghini factory) has been neglected like the Trans Am that's been sitting in your uncle's shed since the Carter administration. We're pretty sure there's a scary story about how this Countach ended up this way, but we're not sure we want to hear it -- it'll be too depressing.

Halfway to glory: Fiat Panda midway through African run

On Feb. 1, British rally drivers Philip Young and Paul Brace set out to make the trek from Cape Town, South Africa to London in 10 days -- in a tiny Fiat Panda city car. They’re now halfway through their journey and well on their way to breaking the standing 14-day record for the 10,300-mile run.

Ford electrifies the Focus

Don't be fooled by the Aston Martin-like grille and the stretched headlights--the Ford Focus electric has some serious green-car ethos. The Focus five-door hatch will be Ford's first-ever all-electric passenger car when it launches in late 2011. It can travel at speeds up to 84 mph and takes three to four hours to charge on a 240-volt outlet.
