That view is reinforced with the arrival from Porsche of video of the Panamera Sport Turismo on the move and input from a pair of talking heads – Advanced Design Style man Mitja Borkert and Michael Mauer, head of the Porsche Design Studio – giving us an insight in to the thinking behind the Sport Turismo. ‘Good design is important, because everyone loves beautiful things’, says Mitja Borkert, although some would say that function has been more important than form for Porsche in the past.

McLaren MP4-12C - destroys the Top Gear Track With plenty of information now floating around on the performance of the McLaren MP4-12C, it’s pretty clear that most feel it to be a quite exceptional car. There do seem to be a few moans about its rather generic design (although that will stop it dating quickly) and some have complained that the MP4-12C doesn’t have the magic a 458 has. Bentley has started the tease for the new Flying Spur which looks like it will debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March. We’ve had spy video of the new Bentley Continental Flying Spur out testing and looking,  certainly at first glance, just like a Mercedes S Class. But that’s just Bentley’s take on the usual swirly camouflage.
