2012 Porsche Cayenne GTS The latest iteration of the Porsche Cayenne GTS – a sportier take on the Cayenne – will debut at the Beijing Motor Show. Porsche feels it’s time to roll out the GTS treatment for the latest version of the Cayenne, so pencil-in the Beijing Motor Show later this month for the debut of the 2012 Porsche Cayenne GTS. The GTS version of a Porsche usually bows in after the range has had a year or two to bed in and offers a sportier, harder-edged version of the standard Porsche offering; fitting in the range between the Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo.

Smart eScooter

Smart is the latest car manufacturer to present a sub-car commuter vehicle. The eScooter will be shown at the Paris motor show in concept form, but has been confirmed as part of Smart's future urban mobility strategy. Six years after he got the idea and bought the streamliner, Jesse James has set the world record for hydrogen-powered speed. Late afternoon on June 16, James flew across the windswept dust of El Mirage dry lake bed in the California desert and tripped the lights at 199.712 mph. That was 14 mph faster than the previous record of 185 mph, set in Germany by BMW in its hydrogen-powered H2H.
